Active Vibration Control Projects (AVC)

Outline of the problem.

Semi-active vibration control of a motor mounting. The Adaptive Semi-active Vibration (ASAV) control is based on mutual interaction of on-line identification and control. The performance criterion is worst-case, instead of average behaviour in the probabilistic sense.

The experimental hardware is interfaced to an LSI TMS320C31 Real-Time Applications Board with A/D and D/A daughter modules. The control algorithm is implemented with a sampling period of 0.002s, using reduced complexity polygon bounding for complex gain estimation and incorporating collateral knowledge based on physical modelling.
