Comet holmes
A second comet in such a short time. Again Difficult for me to photograph due to weather plus another problem. These were photographed through a fireworks display going off locally to me and also into one of the most polluted parts of the local sky for me over the city of Birmingham. The comet was so bright that it overcame both of these difficulties easily.
Taken with the Orion 120 mm refractor....

And Again as the LX200 see's it running at F6.3

The images above were taken on the sixth of november the image below from the orion refractor is more than a week later. The expansion is remarkable as well as the stability in apparent brightness. It will be interesting to see in future if the professionals think this event was due to a collision with another object and whether the orbit has changed.
