Dr. Marina S Gashinova : Dr. Marina S. Gashinova is currently a Research Fellow in Microwave Integrated System Laboratory. She received her B.Sc. (1991) in mathematics from St.-Petersburg State University, Russia, M.Sc. (1995) from the same University in Physics and Ph.D. in radiophysics (2002) from St.-Petersburg Electrotechnical University (¡°LETI¡±), Russia. From 1999-2004, 2005-2006 she was with the St.-Petersburg Electrotechnical University, Microwave laboratory, Dept. of Microelectronics, as a PhD student and Research Associate and, then, with Dept. of Electronics as an Associated Professor. Her research interests were focused on microwave applications and methods of EM modelling. In 2004 she was awarded 1-year NATO Royal Society Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Birmingham where she joined Emerging Device Technology Group as a Honorary Research Fellow and her research was dedicated to development of Microwave Microscope Technique. In 2006 she joined the MISL, where her research shifted to problems in targets recognition by UWB radars. She is a Member of the IEEE. She is author and co-author of more than 40 publications in International Journals and in proceedings of International Conference on Microwave applications and RADAR.
