MSc Module in Methods of Socio-cognitive Engineering

An introduction to a systematic approach to the design of human centred technologies.

EEM4S MEng/MSc Module in Interactive Systems Design

The module provides an introduction to the design and evaluation of interactive computer systems. It covers usability, usefulness and elegance, human-computer interaction, interface design, computer graphics, and approaches to software system design. A major part of the course is a guided design project which involves learning and applying techniques for problem formulation, requirements specification, activity and task analysis, design space formulation, rapid prototyping and evaluation.

EE3J1 Module in Artificial Intelligence

This module introduces the principles, problems and techniques of artificial intelligence (AI). Topics include: simulating human performance, approaches to artificial intelligence (symbolic, neural network, artifical life), knowledge representation, expert systems, search, game playing. It involves writing programs in POP-11, an advanced user-friendly AI programming language.
