Active Shape Models allow rapid, powerful, and robust image
searches.


 

This animation shows 
an Active Shape Model 
locating an unseen hand.

The face animation shows an Active Shape Model locating an unseen face. The ASM search is performed over multiple image resolutions, (see Image Pyramids). The multiple image resolutions can be seen in the search process.
