Call for Papers - - CHIPS
The aim of CHIPS is to support research and development by gathering and exchanging information; evaluating the current state of the art; generating new ideas; and providing guidance for future research and the development projects. It acts as an interdisciplinary learning laboratory, and supports the formation of sub-groups of companies and research centres that will eventually carry out the research and development that creates new, worthwhile products and services. The learning laboratory also examines the needs for the future education and training of high-level professionals in the field and issues guidance on curriculum
December 2002 - IEE Eurowearable 2003 Announced
Thanks to all those who attended Eurowearable 2002 at Hewlett Packard Labs Bristol. Eurowearable 2002, marks our second European wearable meeting. Arrangements for our third are well under way. The dates are set for the 4th and 5th of September 2003, and we will be hosting the event in Birmingham. Eurowearable has made great leaps in only two years, and we hope that you will be able to join us for the third high profile event. The initial call for papers will be issued shortly. In the mean time, please keep checking back for details.

Summer 2002 - Introducing our Wearable Workshop 2002
Wearable computing is an exciting area of research, development and commercial application. There are many UK and European academic and industrial research centres now working on wearable/ubiquitous computing solutions. The aim of this informal one-day workshop/seminar is to bring together researchers in the field wearable computing and provide an overview of UK/European activities.
