Before I came to work at Birmingham University , I worked in industry for a company called " Eddystone Radio Ltd " for 10 years ( 1978 - 1987) during which I studied for & gained an HNC in Electronic Servicing whilst working on a range of radio receivers & MF , HF & VHF transmitting equipment up to 4 kW using 2 of the amplifiers shown Here output along with the relevant instrumentation , I also studied for and gained my Amateur Radio Transmitting Licence .

Before joining the research center ( in 1992 ),I was previously involved with supporting the teaching labs & maintaining the wide range of instuments & equipment used , as well as assisting the Undergraduate students in practical aspects of their " Final Year Projects " ( 1987 - 1992 ).I continue to assist the undergraduate students with their projects but now specialise in the Radio & Acoustics type projects .
